A little bit about me

Thanks for popping over to Hip Shapes and Bristol Fashion and for taking the time to find out a little bit about me.  I’m a Personal Stylist based in Bristol that just loves clothes and styling (I also have a penchant for Rock/Metal music and drink waaaaaaay too much builders tea). I studied textile design at University and have worked as a freelance textile designer, a visual merchandiser and a fashion advisor for John Lewis, before taking the leap and setting up my own personal styling business...that was over three years ago and I’ve not looked back!

I’m a big believer in making the most of the clothes you’ve got in the wardrobe and building a fabulous wardrobe of clothes that totally reflects you, is easy to mix and match and doesn’t cost the earth and, yes I’m probably biased, but I think Bristol is the perfect place to do this.

I started Hip Shapes And Bristol Fashion just before I set up my business (I can’t believe my blog's been running for that long!) initially to promote my business and help build awareness of me locally, but over the years my blog has become so much more than this.

It’s grown into a platform for me to share my experience, knowledge and style and to offer advice on building and developing your personal style right here in Bristol.  I hope you like it!  I love writing and developing it.

If you have any comments or suggestions, would like some advice on what or how to wear something or know of a great local boutique that you think everyone should know about, then feel free to comment, follow, subscribe or get in touch, I love hearing from you!
